I don't know of any law changes in Kaz, but I do understand that some regions are more strictly enforcing the current law. I have also heard mixed feelings from people about taking two trips. This was discussed on another board I participate in and some people (who have been through the process) felt that the process may be extended a little if you leave the country and then return. They felt that the in-country staff worked a little more diligently on your case when you are right there instead of thousands of miles away. I would just discuss the particulars very thoroughly with your agency before you make a final decision.

Since I haven't traveled, I don't know about the gifts except that I did hear another person who made two trips mention that they gave the nicer gifts on the first trip and then just took chocolate bars for all the caregivers on the second trip. Hopefully some other folks who have been through this will be able to give you some good tips.

Please let us know how and where money was wired. The agency I have been speaking with says it's not possible.

My sister had my mom wire money to Yunona. I guess a portion was sent beforehand. I am sorry I forgot to ask. I will check back with her next call.
