Hello,
I am a new member here and would like to find some info on World Child International. Has anyone used them and what sort of experience have you had with them? Thanks in advance. Maream ![]() |

I translate some medical documents from Russian for parents who adopted through World Child and I have never heard of any problems.

World Partners Adoption
We are using World Partners and are very happy. We have not traveled yet, but many families from our agency have recently and not had any trouble. As far as Kaz closing, I don't think this is any time soon. They are very strict about the "Rules". It's 2 weeks visitation, court, 2 weeks (15 days I think) waiting after court, then you have to travel back to Almaty to leave. This is another week or so. If your adoption is from Almaty it is even a longer wait from what I am understanding. But World Partners has always been up front about this. That and it's not your child until after court in that country. But that is why I trust them. Some families are choosing to make 2 trips and for the city of Almaty the recommend 2 trips. At first I wanted a quick country like Guatemala (3 days in and out) but after starting this journey and realizing that with any international adoption nothing is set in stone, what's 6 weeks or so for your child. (But we have no children to leave behind and have been able to arrange with our jobs for the time off. So I realize everyone has different situations.) So I would just make sure you really research any agency and if they make it sound "too easy" I would worry.

one more thing
I don't think the rules are changing in Kaz, I just think they are not waiving anything and enforcing all the rules.

YUNONA
JT-
Did you hear that FROM YUNONA?? The reason I ask is, we are using them & they informed us of the changes taking place in KAZ, & NOTHING was ever said about Kaz shutting down adoptions or the like. And this is just a thought, maybe they are waiting to tell their adoptive parents until they have something definitive instead of just a RUMOR". |

I am not using a Yunona agency and my agency assures me that there are still regions waiving the after court waiting period. it just depends on where you are going in Kaz. I have not heard anything about Kaz closing adoptions except for rumors on the internet.
I know that some regions are waiving the after court period, because I know a couple of families who have returned recently with their child after being in Kaz approximately 3 1/2 weeks. Patty P.S. I am not using World Partners adoption either, but I have heard wonderful things about them from people who are. If I were you I would definitely check into this agency further. |

Waiving 15 days
Yes, there are areas still waiving that, we have just been told not to count on it. (But a couple from our agency went to court yesterday in a region and the waiting was waived.)
We are always told just to "Go with the Flow". So I just plan for 6 weeks or so there when our time comes. If for some reason it's shorter then that would be a pleasant surprise. If it's longer, I guess we will just deal with it. All I want out of it is our child and I know she/he is there some where and waitng for us. |

Yunona, Kazakhstan, and the laws
Hi all,
First, I had heard a negative rating elseware on this site about Yunona. Second the reason there may be so much confusion tabout Kazakhstan and the agencies who send people there is that you do not need an agency to adopt from Kaz. In addition you cannot be gauranteed a specific child, you have to go there and bond. nina |

I also have heard from agency that adoptions in Kaz are not closing and I am not using Yunona or World Child. It depends where your adoption is taking place and yes there are some regions that still waive the waiting period..it all just depends on the judge. My agency currently has someone over there now and the adoption is going without any problems.
I guess it all dpends on what agency you are using.
