I think I have found bfamily but they want infortmation I have my bcert. when I was born which was in Olathe. But I was adopted out of K.C.mo. from a cc I read on one of these forums that you could get ur adoption record in the county your aparnets were found. Mo. is a close state so if its true could someone please help me. I know the family I found are them but both bparnets have passed away and never said anything about me

dhs or family services should have your original birth cert. if you were born in kansas, i would check with them first and they will advise you what to do.

I'm sorry thought I said I have my orignial bith cert. I know who my bparnets were unfortunely they have both passed away and never said anything about me.

i believe your adoptive mother would have to sign for you to get anything in missouri but kansas will work with you and try to help you in what ever you are tryng to do like proving to you birth family who you are. good luck to you sweetie

If born in the state of Kansas,your original birth-certificate will list birth-parents names. Apply for original thru Topeka.

Go through SRS in Topeka, it will take a little time (Stay on them,) and request your "Social History" . This is very
interesting paper to recieve. (Just got mine in Dec.) and
it should tell you some interesting things. Hang in there, and good Luck!!!!!!!!!
