Question male 4/4/49 adopted wichita,ks deceased searching for my husbands birth family

[color=blue][font=times new roman][size=3][b]

hi everyone!

i need any help anyone has....i am searching for the family of my deceased husband who was adopted. he died when my children were babies, and they long to know about their heritage. please write with any suggestions. i can't access birth/adoption records since i'm his wife, and he is dead. micheal stewart webb, 4/4/49. adopted in wichita,kansas by frank vivian &rosalie (later pulliam.) mike looked at least part latino, with black hair, dark brown eyes, average hieght, but very pale skin. his adopted father was a famous radio announcer in wichita, where he died. my husband and i are BOTH adopted, so it's been hard. plus, his adopted mother never had any relationship with my kids, who are now grown. please write with any suggestions on how to search.

thanks so very much,

jennifer

Hi Jennifer,
I came across your posting and am in a similar situation. Were you able to obtain any information for your husband??
Thanks,

Are you positive that your late husband was born in Wichita? Or could it be that is where to adoption took place. Also, do you think he might be part hispanic only due to his coloring?

Here is why I ask. My mother gave a child up for adoption in Kansas City most likely in 1949. My brother thought it was a boy. My mother had black very wavy hair, and was fairly light skin tone with a hint of olive complextion. She also had brown eyes. She was 19, possibly 20 and unwed. Sent away from Colorado to have child. I'm attaching a recent picture of 2 of my brother's, myself and my mother. See if you can see any resemblence in the picture of my brother's. My mother just passed away on May 3rd.

Anything is worth a shot, right?

adoption-wichita kansas 1948

Hello,
I am pretty sure he was born in Wichita. I have not been in touch with his sisters for many years, but think I will try to contact one of them and ask. I remember them laughing that his oldest sister got to "pick" him out at the orphanage. Mike had blue eyes and blonde hair. Your noses are all similar though!
Sorry to hear about your mom. I'll get back with you if I do get in touch with one of the family. I doubt they will be too happy about me opening this matter up. I hope you didn't think that I thought there might be a family connection here.....I was inquiring because of the issue of my being able to access records. I heard from someone else that said a judge would have to grant permission for the records to be opened, but that they do not do it very often.
Thanks,
Jayne
