Searching for Help

I am Jewish and I married a non-Jew. My parents had a fit but I did what was best for me and my life. I was 24 at the time. We dated for 5 years so it wasn't like they didn't know. Your parents are living their life and you can make your own choices. I didn't change religions either. I had a tragedy happen young and it really shook my faith. I am still Jewish but I have learned that you are not going to be sruck dead if you choose to follow your own heart. Many of the things I learned young I apply to my life; for example being a good person here on earth and it's how you treat people now. Your parents will eventually come around...just be honest and tell them you are not doing this agaist them and you love them but it's just your choice. Good luck to you.
