Talking It's been awhile since I was last here...

Now I have good news...we are underway! The I600 is gone. The autobiographies for the homestudy and all of the rabies certificates and other documents have been copied. Our request for exempified/aspotille (sp) certificates has been mailed. Our orientation is the 17th and then I am gone for 2 weeks on business. Hopefully while I am gone though - my husband will have his first meeting with the SW and will be able to complete some of the home study. WOW. Our Rabbi also has two internationally adopted kids and the temple is so multi-cultural. We are really thrilled. What else to say ? Oh yes, we are going with "either" for the gender and under 1 year of age. I am so excited that I am hopping up and down!

Wonderful--where are you adopting from?

Uh-oh. I hope you didn't request apostilled documents if you are adopting from China. China is not a party to the treaty that allows apostilles. It requires the states to use a different type of seal.
