older kids and religion
Shalom all,
Have any of you adopted older than 2 or 3? How have you addressed religion? As active Jews (I am a lay leader in our synagogue) there is no way we could do 2 religions. We could do some transitioning from Christmas to Chanukah but firm Christianity in an older child would be difficult. And yes, we are being clear in our homestudy as our Rabbi is one of our references. thanks

In our training we were told that we weren't allowed to change a child's religion because one of the rights of children being adopted is to maintain their religious beliefs. They will probably just match you with jewish children or those that don't have a particular faith before they are adopted.
