international prejudice?
We are considering adopting from eastern europe, possibly Azerbijan, Belarus or Georgia. Will we be at a disadvantage because we are Jewish?

Hi:
I have also asked the same questions. Most agencies said no, it wouldnt be a problem but I did hear from a very few people that said they didnt mention that they were Jewish. I am hoping that it doesnt matter as we too are adopting from Russia or somewhere in Eastern Europe. Bari |

I don't know enough about Eastern Europe to answer specifically. We adopted from a Catholic orphanage in India and didn't have any trouble at all related to our religion (it was mentioned in our homestudy and other documents). I have never heard of anyone having trouble adopting internationally because of religion.
