Dear Kirbster, I had a sister who was adopted from Flo Crit home in Sioux City. Her dob was 7/22/60, and she was also very premature, weighing just 2.5 pounds. Her adoptive family was told that she had a twin who died at birth. Does any of this ring a bell with you or any of your information? Trying to help, Michael

godival,Thanks for your offer, but I don't need help finding my sister. She was adopted, as I was, from Flo Crit home in Sioux City. My point in responding to Kirbster was that the story of the boy dob 7/27/60 was amazingly similar to the story of my sister dob 7/22/60, both adopted from the same place. I was wondering if my adoptive family had not been told the truth about my sister's twin having died at birth. I thought that perhaps the two could have been twins or at least that the birth mothers would likely have known each other. The DMV list sounds like an interesting tool. Can you think of any ways it might help me? I think I know my birth mother's year of birth and perhaps her first name, but I really don't know if she was ever an Iowa resident. MRH

If your birthmother lives in Iowa and has a driver's license it would be on the DMV report

But every day would have to be searched in that year for the first name; and if it is a common name you could come up with many many names
