I was wondering if I could have been born in another state and brought to Iowa by Lutheran Family Services to be adopted? In my info I have no hospital is listed...only the name of the city of Lutheran Family Services as my birth city. My adoptive parents lived hours from there, but went there after a phone a baby was ready for them. Just wondering...

I had a little girl born in Nebraska in 1983. I gave her up in Iowa. I personally had to take her across the state line to the attorneys office. Not sure if that is true of all adoptions going over state lines.

Iowa is alot easier to search than Nebraska; Nebraska is almost impossible for a younger adoptee
