My Dear Mother

On this very special day,
My heart aches for the one who gave me away.

She was young & afaid, and yet so brave.
To offer me "Live" by giving me a Mother -
Myself, too small to understand or realize, it would be another.

A Mother who gave of all that she had - Her love, Her time.
She's always there, both in body and mind.

We share in all of life's joys and pain
Still the questions haunts me, again and again.

What were her circumstances? What was she like so long ago? And has she, or does she, ever long to know-The baby she had and cared enough about to "give up", aches to know her, to love and hold her, to bond with her.

I hve two Mothers, which will always be true.
I just long to know the Mother who gave me " Life" in March of 1962.
