I wish I could help you with answers to your question but I do have some advice. Have you asked your doctor? You have to be very straight forward with doctors if you don't ask questions they won't volunteer information. As for becoming a teacher I think that is great. The first place to go would be your guidance counselor at school and they can help you find a school and also apply for scholarships. I know it's not much but hopefully it helps!

You can stay in school, by law, until 21 and should receive job training in school. Make sure your parent or guardian follows through and asks for the training you want. Listen to your teachers and special ed staff because they tend to be very truthful with an optimistic twist. Tell them your goals and find ways to meet them. Also college is paid for and you can further your training. You may make a wonderful assistant or aide.
Embrace your limitations and know when you must say, "I cannot do this."

a college class this semester on transition, which means going from high school to community needs, which includes job skills and training. You should be in transition right now. I will ask for you at school tomarrow, my professor has alot of experiance in special ed and special ed law. I think that is great for you to want to help others, your first hand experiance would make a difference!! |
