Reactive Attachment Disorder
Does anyone have a child adopted who suffers from RAD? I am a mother with a daughter who suffers from RAD and doing my dissertation on this condition for my Ph.D in psychology and would like input. If you do not know about this condition I would be glad to discuss this with any parent who has adopted or planning to adopt. This a very serious problem.

You will find a lot of parents at the Special needs board, and the Post adoptive parenting board. Also at the Older Child Adoption site.

We have a 5 year old daughter just being diagnosed with attachment disorder. We have been in therapy for a month and we are still processing how awful this all is. We had so hoped that starting kindergarten would be helpful to our "difficult" child. Instead, it has been a nightmare.
I'd be happy to get info from you or give input on our situation.
