Adopting an orphan family memeber

We are intereted in adopting my nephew and neice who were orphaned recently. Currently the grandparents have custody of the child. We intend adopting the children in India. Can you suggest what additional requirements need to be complied to bring the children to US. We are US citizens of Indian origin. We would appreciate any suggetions or advise that will help us move in the right direction without spending too much time and reeource.
