intl vs domestic costs and 1 parent with med probs

I realize that international differs from country to country, and that you might get additional subsidies/tax credits for domestic with special needs, but while most of the intl agencies I've see break-down their fees I've not found a domestic agency web-site yet that tells you how much it will cost.

I would also like your insight on how to procede if one of the adoptive parents has a disability/disease. We both want another child, but my wife has liver disease and is on a transplant list. I've heard that single parents can adopt, but everywhere I look I see little phrases like "parents with normal life-expectancy", etc. Is her illness going to stop us in our tracks? Why could a single parent adopt and "me" not?

Finally, we are interested in adopting an infant or toddler about the same age or a little younger than our two-year old. But we live in a small 2-bedroom house. When we go to do our home-study, are they going to turn us down because we don't have much room and a second bedroom for the coming child?

Thanks for your insight!

Anthony
