Questions regarding which country to choose
My husband and I have just started the adoption process and we are trying to find out what countries to go with (we ultimately would like to adopt 4 children - although not at the same time of course
). Currently we are looking into Ethiopia, Columbia, and the Phillipines. I have read that you have a better chance at adopting an infant from Columbia if you have prove of infertility (I have ) and have no children. Has anybody else heard of this? Has anyone found an agency they liked? Any help with this process would be forever grateful as we are really OVERWHELMED.![]() |

You could do a sibling group of 4 children from Ethiopia at once!
Ethiopia does not require proof of infertility. Many people request infants -- under 12 months. But it is becoming more and more popular so wait times are increasing. Samantha

Take a look at the country guidelines on RainbowKids.com Adoption Information, Support, Child Photolistings, Articles and Resources. I don't know how old you are but I know that Columbia has a very young age cut-off for adoptive parents.

Thank you for the link regarding country guidelines. I am trying to figure out which country to go with first and I keep coming back to Columbia. (Mostly because of their requirements)
