I am wondering if anyone can tell me if there is any wiggle room on the medical requirements for adoptive parents who want to adopt from China.

Specifically, I am wondering about the restriction of anti-depressent drugs. Everything I have read states that parents must be drug free from anti-depressents for a min. of two years. I have mild anxiety and have been taking a low dose of anti-depressent/anxiety drug for 5 years and would prefer not to mess with something that has worked very well for me.

Do you know if there is any tolerance to these rules or if it is black and white?????

I like to read around on other boards and from my understanding, it's black and white on the anti-depression issue.

ETA-Sharon adopted from China and could probably give you a great answer if she sees your post.
