Baby Names

I am adopting an infant and am changing her name. I was wondering if some of you would mind sharing unique names for a little girl. Thanks!

My adopted kids each have a middle name that is a family name. My daughter's middle name is Laurinda after my mother in laws grandmother who raised her. Each of my son's has the name of one of my brothers who has passed away. My younger son has my husbands first name as his middle name. Both kids say it has helped them feel more a part of the family. They love hearing stories about the relatives they are named after. (except for my youngest we used relatives who are no longer living) Another idea might be looking up names from her country and finding one you like. With my kids we left thier first name the same. We figured it was something they could bring with them.

My daughter's name is Biset Annika Nanette and if I have a second it will be ????? Tizita Robin. I also really like Ayana these days. Biset, Tizita, and Ayana are all Ethiopian names.

We use biblical names for our kids, but kept our son's birthname as one of his middle names.

It is hard to give name suggestions with no parameters...are you interested in a certain culture, belief system, etc.

My boys have biblical names...

If I am ever blessed with my girl, I will probably name her Hadassah

But that may change by the time my girl finally comes along....
