Taiwan board????????
How do we get a Taiwan specific board started? The numbers are skyrocketing for this country and I have personally emailed adoption.com a few times asking them to start one. Why do ALL the other countries even closed have a discussion board and not Taiwan????

I've never gotten an email from you....
Also - while the numbers for Taiwan may be rising - we've not seen enough interest in a forum - nor any interest in moderating/building such a forum...it's a lot of work sadly.

I would love to see a Taiwan Board open! I did ask months ago, but the response was not enough interest.

I have an idea!! Rename Cambodia's forum to Taiwan. I have read Taiwan posts on several forums. How much more interest is needed? Even though it make take a lot of hard work to moderate and build the forum, I'm sure many people would find it worth while and well received. Karen

I agree
I agree with you. DH and I are considering switching from Colombia to Taiwan and would love to get a community started here. I will send adoption.com an e-mail as well. We love the adoption.com forums and all the wonderful information we receive, hopefully that will continue with Taiwan. Yahoo groups has a Taiwan forum, but the format here is so much better!!
Come on adoption.com, if you build it, we will come!! Last edited by FranTastic : 12-30-2007 at 09:19 AM. |

While I can appreciate that adoption.com has to balance out their limited resources across the myriad of country-specific interests, I would echo the usefulness of a Taiwan forum. Given that there were many adoptions from Taiwan after the civil war with China (100's, possibly 1000's, according to the staff of my orphanage), given that lately more Taiwanese adopted people adopted in the post-China civil war era are gradually coming out of the woodwork to do search and reunion, and given that many prospective parents are switching from mainland China to Taiwan, I think if adoption.com set-up a Taiwan forum, that could be a very positive, pro-active step in a high growth area.
