Are you adopting from a Hague country or a non-Hague country?

If you are adopting from a Hague country, be sure to look at the list of agencies that were denied Hague accreditation. You can find it at Agencies Denied Accreditation. You can also find a list of agencies that received accreditation at Accredited Agencies.

If you are adopting from a non-Hague country, you do not have to worry about accreditation status. However, some people prefer to work with Hague accredited agencies, because they have received a fairly high level of scrutiny in terms of their policies, procedures, staffing, finances, etc.
