Which countries are you looking into? An agency that operates ethically and smoothly in one country may not be doing the same (or be licensed to do the same) in another.

I would also like information on the agency that I am using. (Adoption Ark) I also have a question. Has anyone on this forum had a successful adoption completed with a "waiting child" listed on an agency website? Any information would be GREATLY appreciated.

I adopted four teenagers all of whom where listed as waiting children on the internet. All were essentially as 'advertised' and I am quite happy with the results.

You really need to specify country. While a good agency practices ethical adoption in any country where it works, some agencies simply have stronger programs in one country versus another. As an example, it is usually best if an agency has long experience, rather than a brand new program, in a particular country.

I'm in the research process of finding an agency. Faithful Adoptions stated on their website that they can accept tax deductible donations from people and the money can go toward your adoption. So, if I sent letters out to friends and family, they could make a donation to the agency in my name and they would get the tax benefits and we would get their financial assistance. My question is, do all non profit agencies offer this? It sounds too good to be true, if others offer it they should advertise it. I think it is a great way to help pay for adoption costs I mean if friends and family are going to help you anyways. Anyone heard of this? Anyone worked with Faithful Adoption Agency? Did you have a good experience.
