I am beginning to research for adoption #2 and we are considering an international adoption. Our first adoption cost us significantly more than we budgeted for, so we are looking for a less expensive route the next time. My son is biracial (AA / CC). My only requirement with international is I would prefer a child under 1. We are completely open to race. Can anyone reccomend an agency / country where an international adoption could be done for about 15k? Thanks so much!!!

Check out Ethiopia. You can definately get a child under 1 year old. Referral waits vary from 6-12 months depending on agency. And your age will not be a factor. I think my adoption (including all the travel costs) cost just under 19k (which is not your budget but it is close).

I have been thinking very seriously about Ethiopia. However, we cannot afford 19k. I had found an agency that was lower but have heard REALLY bad things about them! So, if I can find an agency with lower fees, we would definitely consider Ethiopia.
