I took it. Was a requirement for our last adoption. It is very informative. It's not hard/easy, pass/fail kind of class. Shelley

I had to take it to. I found it a bit laborious. Its not hard but some of the exercises are a little cheesy for my taste. The homework especially is tedious but I definatly woulldn't worry about it being too hard.

Hello
We just finished the class, although we didn't do it on line. We got it free from our agency and turned in our homework to our social worker for our education requirements. It isn't really the info they give you that takes long to read. It is the thinking that goes into answering a lot of the questions that takes time. Parts of it were repetitive, but as was said earlier, really no right or wrong answers. It is just to prepare you for the ups and downs and possible struggles of adoption. It informs you in advance so that you can start thinking now on how to handle problems that may occur.

For our agency, the only real homework was filling out our information, a short questionaire about transracial adoption and each writing an autobiography. The autobiography took me a day and I had to take the XBox 360 away from my husband for him to finish it in a weekend. It wasn't too bad. The homework for the CD was what took a long time. I am now a housewife and I sat at the computer for about two and a half days typing out homework and researching our answers for that CD. Some answers you can just discuss and know how you feel. Others, I really wanted to research. The homework for the meeting is nothing compared to the homework in the CD.
