Who is going to foster? :)

Hi there! My husband and I have decided to foster our little girl in India before we bring her home for at least a month, maybe two. Is anyone else planning on fostering before the adoption is finalized in your child's country?

HI! I just got back from 12 weeks fostering. I was in Nicaragua. It rocked! We have had very few attachment issues since coming home. PM me if you want info!

Please be aware that many countries do not permit parents to take custody of children for fostering purposes, before the adoption is finalized. While it is wonderful that you are able to do this, it is simply not possible outside of a few countries.

Thanks for the note, Sharon! I did not know that. I know for India, at least one parent has to be of Indian descent in order to do this.
