Vietnamese Adopting a Vietnamese Baby
My husband and I are starting our adoption process for Vietnam. I am Vietnamese by origin and want to adopt from my birthplace. I am looking to share stories with others who have similar story as mine. How will the Vietnamese people recieve me and what will they think about one of their own adopting another baby from their country? If anyone has a similar story they could share with me or know of another forum, I'd be greatly appreciative. Thanks.

I am not Vietnamese, but I have been there for a few weeks, and hosted a Vietnamese colleague in the US. I am aware of VietQieu adopting , and being well received. Certainly my experience has been that Americans and VietQieu are better received in the country in general than you might otherwise expect based on the history of the two countries.
I don't think you have anything to worry about. |
