Hi Everyone,
New to this Forum - I would appreciate any info./help on adopting from Poland, I live in New York but am originally from Ireland and have a son adopted at birth, We're hoping to add another son to our family, 4 - 6 years old! Any & all info. appreciated. Offaly |

I hear it's somewhat difficult. I lived in Poland for awhile and know of one person that did adopt a child.
The think is with Poland is that parents can put a child in an orphanage and not have to sign over the rights to the child! That means they can spend 18 years in an orphanage and still "belong" to the biological parents. What did you find out, anything to the contrary? My grandmother is Polish and my heart belongs to Poland (thats where I met my husband - also American). My first choice on earth would be to adopt a Polish child because of my family. |
