We accepted the referral of a child and was told that he was free for adoption. Come to find out, he is not. We have waited 2 years and because of a government official, he still is not free for adoption. And there is no end in sight.
We are at a crossroad. Anyone else walked away, wanted to give up or stayed the course? We sure could use some words of wisdom. |

Completely understand your feelings.
We are also at a crossroad. It has been 3 years since we started the process and we are wondering if it might be time to move on. It’s a really hard decision to make after you have spent so much time and emotions. This is not the first time we have felt this but every time some little bit of good news comes our way so we change our mind and stick with it. I’m not sure if I can give any words of wisdom but we are looking at other avenues to see where we stand. We would hate to start all over at this point but were not sure if anything will ever materialize. It almost feels like they want us to give up. |
