Korea adoption loop hole
Hi!
I have 2 friends that are adopting from Korea and 2 friends interested. One has been living with a man for 10 years and has 3 children together (bio) and is getting married this Friday. They can't find an agency that lets them adopt in Korea unless they are married 3 years. Anyway to get around that? Please PM if you know anything! Thanks~ |

If I remember correctly, the 3 years of marriage is a Korean government requirement. If that is true, it won't matter what agency they try to use.

The 3 year marriage requirement is a Korean requirement. There is no way around it. We inquired about it when we first wanted to adopt, we had lived togeter for seven years but had only been married two. We put in our initial application at 2 years 9months and got our referral when we hit the 3 year mark.
