6 yr old adoptee looking for a bone marrow match in CA
This is, of course, one of the issues when you do not have a biological family to pull from....
Sara was born in China and adopted by a family in CA. She was diagnosed with leukemia and has been unable to find a match on the national registry. The First Chinese Baptist Church is holding a blood drive to help search for her. Being Asian increases your odds, but it is not neccessary. A bone marrow transplant is her best chance for survival.
