We are almost ready to submit our Dossier to the agency for a russian adoption. I am interested in finding support groups in the Northern Virginia/DC metro area for couples waiting on referrals or who have adopted from Russia.

Hi. I live in Rockville, MD. I have been looking for "locals" too. There are a few of us in the general area that I've met/talked to. We can talk more if you want.

I know that many churches
offer adoption support groups. Often churches that are involved in international social work.

Russian board
You may want to post this on the Russian board. It is very active and has people from around the country. There has been an informal group formed in NY and through the NJ folks, I have built really strong relationships. You may find more interested parties there.

Yeysk, If you are wanting to connect, we'd be willing. I don't know how far away in the metro area you are...travelling is challenging for us--many reasons... PM me if you want and we can call each other.

Hi! Glad you're aboard.
Are we all dealing with Russia? Maybe you know the answer to this: what is the role of the ministry of ed., the orphanage director, the facilitator, and the agency in ID'ing children that match our requests? What can an agency do to make those relationships work smoothly? |
