Does anyone have any info. regarding whether or not adoptions can proceed as usual in Kazakhstan w/ an agency that is operating w/ a "Provisional" license? Has anyone ever been in this situation? What are the Kazak laws regarding this? Thanks in advance for all replies.

I started my adoption journey with an agency with a provisional license. They never told me--I found out later. My Dh and I are in a legal battle with this agency to try and get our first payment back since we were lied to. I don't know how Kaz regards provisional licenses however please be very careful if you stay with them. Ask yourself why they are in this situation. What is to say that you won't have problems with them also. Apparently they are doing something wrong. What happens if the lose their license in the middle of your adoption process. Most countries I believe may be very skeptical of an agency that has a provisional license.

I don't know the technical stuff when it comes to this I just know that it makes me very nervous. Please invesitigate this more before proceeding. I hope it all works out for you.
