Where do we start?
We are an un married couple in California she is 43 I am 50 we have been trying fertilization for the third time and it is not looking good. We so badly want to have children and would like to make this happen in the shortest time possible. So where do we start I am a bit confused I would prefer to adopt from Croatia or some where similar. Does any one have a good trusted contact or reference in southern California.

Tom,
While I don't have any contacts in the regions you ask about, I do know that you cannot adopt internationally together as an unmarried couple. There are some countries that only allow married couples, some have a length of marriage requirement. Some agencies also have a length of marriage requirement. My advice is to start looking into countries where your girlfriend can adopt as a single mom and then you could get married after the adoption is final and do a step-parent adoption here in the states. Just my thoughts,
