Lightbulb Inter Country Adoption Registry (ICAR)

Hello everyone. Please excuse my barging in over here.

My post today is directed towards those of you who have completed your adoptions. I've noticed many people ask about adoption agencies to use on the Internet.

When we began our adoption journey, there wasn't a place where Aparents could log in their experience with their adoption agencies. In 2000, the ICAR agency registry site was created.

The ICAR site is a place where, no matter which country you've adopted from, you can add your name as a reference for your adoption agency.

It's very important for parents who have BTDT to share their knowledge with others coming down the pipeline, especially during the chose the agency phase.

ICAR's URL is:
http://wwww.adoptachild.org/ICAR/default.asp

I am NOT affiliated with ICAR in any way, shape or form, but I like to get the word out about this free, underutilized resource.

Thumbs up Hi Elizabeth

Thanks for the ICAR's information....it sounds like a very good idea to be able to go into it and read other people's success stories....I sure could use hearing some good news right about now!!!

Unfortunately, I tried to click on their website address above, that you gave for them, but it keeps telling me "error"....

Is that website address correct or do they have a new one now, maybe?????

Thanks again for your help!!!

Blessings,

Melody
