adoption of illegal mexican immigrant-age 18
I have a situation that I was approached with by my son. He went thorugh high school with a young man who played on his soccer team. I have now been approached that the boy wants me to adopt him as he is an illegal mexican immigrant and so are his parents. I am looking for advice and guidance on the costs, legal ramifications, etc. Any input would be appreciated.

At 18, he would need to obtain citizenship in a legal manner. Contact an attorney that specializes in immigration law.

Legal ramifications
I work in Childrens' Services. Even though you have good intent for what you are doing. Legal ramifications could also get the entire Family Deported back to Mexico in a heartbeat and without an Appeals process.
I totally agree with the First Post. The young man may not have ID to obtain US Citizenship, but at least pursue his options by going to Immigrations Attorney.
