Hello My papers are in russia now waiting for the MOE to give me an invitation to visit..I already have a referral a boy 3 yrs old..Has anyone ever adopted from the Vladivostok area? I hear that the ten day waiting period is always waived which is good news..I need to know first hand about the trip and what you wish you would of did better etc..I am going to be a single mom and I am traveling alone..any information will be appreciated

Congratulations on your adoption. I am waiting now for a match and am so happy when I hear of someone else making the next step.

I haven't traveled, but I check into some airlines recently. Delta and Northwest have adoption rates for flights that allow flexibility in arrangements. You have to ask for their special services area. As far as I can tell the only non-stop flights from JFK to Moscow are through Delta.

Hi there! I adopted from the vladivostok region of Russia 10/2003. I am looking for another agency that works in this region. Does anyone know of agencies working in this region? We were happy with our adoption experience in Vladivostok, but not our agency. And of course we are thrilled with our son! He is perfect.

Hello-

I finally found a Vlad adopt group! My dh and I returned from our first trip to Vlad on August 1st. We are still waiting for our release from MOE. We sent it off the first day we saw our daughter (end of July). I was just wondering if this is the typical wait time now days. I would love to hear from someone who has received their release and the approximate wait time. I'm beginning to wonder whether this adoption is going to be completed before January, at this rate.
