Foreign countries with no travel required

My husband cannot and will not get on a plane to travel. Very long story.

What countries do not require parents to travel to complete the adoption process? thanks.

Korea does not require tarvel. IHonk Kong does not require teavel. India does not always require travel. Bulgaria, China, Guatemala, Mongolia, The Philipines do require only one parent to travel. If you are in the Husker state , Holt International would be great for you! Here is their info:

Russia does noy allow escorts except in extreme circumstances where parents cannot travel and proxies are used. I didn't think the proxies occurred that often. Obviously your agency has found a loop-hole for this rule! Are they really from Russia or another country that was part of the USSR?

All adoptions are finalized in Russia. Both adoptive parents must travel twice and attend the court hearing in the region of a child’s residence. Only one of the parents is required to accompany the adopted child to the US; the other parent may return home after the court hearing, if they wish. The two trips are approximately 2-6 weeks apart, depending on dates set by the court. The first trip lasts 5 days; allowing parents to meet and spend time with children, and to obtain a personal history, medical records, photos and videos that can be brought back to the U.S. for evaluation. The second trip lasts approximately 7-10 days, depending on the region, and includes the adoption court hearing, processing adoption decree documents, and obtaining children’s visas. This second trip culminates in bringing your child (or children home).
I cannot find any agencies that do not require travel for trusiia. Please tell me the name of the agency as my friends were very interested in Russia but the travel was a factor! thanks!

Russian Escorts

JuliannaTeresa

Wow! There are Russian adoptions that permit escorts. I'd really like to have a copy of their news letter to that you offered to Dr. Mom. Cost isn't the issue. My husband won't fly and neither will I am scared to death. I actually had a cousin who is very close and just as scared as me almost die from a heart attack while in the air. Our doctor said it was caused by a genetic condition and all the stress of the adrenaline in her system. I have the same heart defect. SO I had to opt for a county that did require travel and that was Guatemala. My husband and I accepted a referral of a pair of beautiful twin boys in February. We are sepcifically seeking twins. But we just recently learned that none of our paperwork had been filed with any one yet, so we are in the abyss of the mess that is going on down there with the Hague now. What really gets me is our referral was in February. My husband and I always considered russia but ruled them out because of the travel requirement. This could change everything.
Thanks
Little Red 64.

Talking Haiti?

Have you considered Haiti? They have an escort program, and there are many, many, many infants available, and even twins at times. Check out Precious in His Sight. They do require you to be Christian, though, to adopt from many programs in Haiti.

www.precious.org

A New Arrival also has a Haiti program and has no religious requirements.

Good luck!
