Moldova Adoption

We are planning on adopting a child from Moldova. We are using International Family Services (IFS). We would like to hear from anyone who has adopted from Maldova and/or used IFS.

Thank you
Sara

We have not adopted from Moldova, but we are considering it. If we do an international adoption it will likely be from Moldova. If I can ask what made you decide on Moldova? Our church does a mission trip there every year. That is where my heart is at now. If we decide to do it , it will probobly be with Carolina Adoption Services.

A friend of mine gave me an article from our local paper which stated that host families were needed to host children from an orphanage in Moldova for a summer program. The program asks you to host the child for a month and you can choose to adopt. That's what my husband and I hope to do. I know that we do not know much about Moldova but we are doing research, talking to families and learning as much as we can. We are so very excited about this wonderful opportunity. I would love to hear about your experiences in Moldova. It sounds like it touched your heart. Thank you for responding!

I too am looking into IFS as an agency. I will be attending a picnic they host every year in Olathe, Kansas. So far I have been very pleased with IFS and my local contact. Keep me posted on how things are going.

Good Luck,

MJ

Moldova Adoption

Hi, this is my first time on this site. My wife and I were already to go with China. We actually, invested over $2000 with an agency which specializes with China. However, we are re-thinking this due to SARS.
Someone just yesterday mentioned Moldova to me. I don't know much about this country but would like to know if anyone has adopted from here. Since the country just opened up again for adoption, do you think it's more risky versus Russia?
