]we are wanting to adopt from Ukraine. unfortunately our agency will not do the homestudy due to issues that they say rule out Ukraine as an option. the problem is that Uk only issues visa for prereffered child and Ukraine wants blank visa as they assign you a child when you get there, you cant pre-select as UK agency is asking. we have been told that no one has ever adopted from Ukraine but i am sure that is not right. does anyone know anyone that has definately adopted from Ukraine and is home with a child in the UK. my other query is about special needs. we are thingking of a child with mental delay or fas something like that, and our agency says that is also banned. so if you have adopted a special needs child from ANY country please let me know so i can get back to my agency
