Country Selection?
My husband and I adopted a beautiful, smart, happy 18 month old little girl from Ukraine and we are now researching a 2nd adoption. We are looking for an infant as young as possible this time around. What countries should we be looking at?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated !!

Countries
My agency is just starting a program with Georgia and are saying the babies are coming home around 3 months of age. I adopted from Guatemala and Abby was about 4 1/2 months old. But I understand nothing much is happening in Guatemala right now. Nothing is going through.
I would check out Georgia. If you would like the name of my agency, I'll be glad to share! Denise

I would love the name of your agency! Thank you so much. Choosing an agency is definitly one of the hardest parts.
Thanks so much! Lisa |

Adoption Agency
The agency is called Children of the World and it is located in St. Louis, MO, but will work with families in any state. Their website is http://www.childrenoftheworldnet.com. Rudy and Carol are great. I think there is a place on the website where you can email and ask for information (I think!).
Let me know if you need anything else. My adoption (from Guatemala) took 9 months from start to finish. I love talking about adoption, so if you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!

We just adopted a baby from Guatemala. Last summer things really slowed down due to the Hague, and we were caught in the middle of it. Our daughter came home at 11 months of age. We had a great agency and attorney, but things were at a standstill for about 6 months. He has since had babies come home at 4 months of age.
However, things are moving again. The Guatemala board has several families coming home in 4-6 months now, and I even saw one at 11 weeks! I think the key, as with any adoption, is to really do your research and pick an agency that uses honest and hard working attorneys. Good luck, Maria blessed mom to 4 |

Our son was escorted home from South Korea a day before his five-month birthday. His age was perfect for us!!!! The babies are in foster care from day one, he had top notch medical care with monthly well baby reports from his referral to the time he came home, and we have detailed information on the birth family. We would adopt again from South Korea in a heartbeat. PM me if you would like more information. Best wishes!
