I'd be interested to get a gauge of just how many adoptees (and possibly their adoptive parents) would want to learn their birth country's language?
- Yes - Quite likely - Not sure - Not likely - No Here's another related question... if your birth country offered scholarships for learning your birth country's language in your birth country, would you? - Yes - Quite likely - Not sure - Not likely - No While I'm in Taiwan, I'm considering finding ways to advocate to the government here that they do what the S Korean government did and offer help to Taiwanese adoptees in studying the local language. Before I do so, obviously I'll need to provide stats to give an idea of potential demand. |
