Immigration status/Tax benefits for adult adoption
1. We are American couple and have no child. We recently adopted a 23-year old girl as our daughter; she is from other country and holding F-1 student visa. Any hope we can help her to get green card?
2. Can we get any tax benefits from adopting an adult? Please help |

Adult and Step Parent adoptions do not qualify for the Tax Credit.
You should also contact an attorney quicky regarding the adoption - as the USCIS has requirements that must be met in order for a child, who is adopted, to become a US Citizen - one of those requirements is age, the other is the status of the parental relationship in regards to the biological parents.
