Fingers crossed that they dont have last month's problems! I turned ours in last friday (oct. 2).

Did anyone get emails stating the money would be in the account for adoption subsidies this month? We got our money on the 1st but no email which we have always received in the past?!

I had meeting with CW this morning. She mentioned that she had approved mine yesterday or day before. I sent it in on the 30th thru mail. I was hoping it would be in bank by tomorrow..I dont know how long it takes after they approve it.

I emailed the auditor of state and asked if the system is working okay, if payments will be on time or delayed like last month.

They replied back and said payments were processed today and should be in the bank no later than Monday.

I mailed mine on Sept. 30. I got an e-mail tonight saying it will be deposited on the 13th! Much quicker this month!

I got an email too that it'll be deposited on the 13th. I also saw that Monday is a federal holiday (Columbus Day) so the banks will be closed.

My banks have a sign saying they WILL be OPEN on Columbus Day, although who knows about the State's bank.

No email here, turned my in on the 30th, although I didn't get an email last month until a few days after the check was deposited, so who knows.

I'm in NY but do you guys have to turn in a "record" to get the subsidy??? At least you get direct deposit!! We get paper checks in the mail and we get them by the 15th although it's been the 12th for the past several months.

As of Jan 1, 2009, the state took over the per deim payments rather than each county taking care of their own. Some places did direct deposit, but not all. We now are considered vendors for the state of IN and have to fill out a form every month. While I think everyone expected it to be a nightmare, it has been easier than first thought.

You have to fill out a child ID number, case number, a foster home number, how many days they were with you, and the daily rate. For us, we have had the same kids for forever (literally) so it is just a copy/paste thing w/ the numbers. I think those who have kids in and out constantly the form must get a bit more complicated!!

As for us, we never have the email, but I've gotten like 3 different invoices for the adoption subs. One with all 5 months showing 2 payments (1 for the 4 behind, and one for Oct) , then one for October alone, and another one w/ all 5 months split separately per child.

We'll see what happens with it all this month!
