New Foster Parent, gotta couple questions :)
So...
First, is there anybody from Lake Co.? Up in NW IN? Second... we had our final homestudy and I'm curious, how long did the state take to send your license from that point? And, if you're from NW IN (Lake, Porter, LaPorte Co.'s) how long did it take you to get your first placement? Thanks peeps!

Praises to God who sent us a precious healthy newborn a week after licensing! Amazing.

I foster for Marion Co. and haven't done an initial homestudy since 1990. We had our interview in late Sept. We were approved in early Dec. and got our first placement in late Feb.

I'm from Porter County. We've been licensed since July 07. I believe we got our first placement that September, and have since had 23 placements in just over 2 years. (A lot of emergency placements and some respites included in that). We are now adopting a sibling group from Lake County we were matched with.
