getting listed in more than one county

Does anyone know can you be listed in more than one county for foster only? We are in Indiana and live in a small country community with not much foster activity and we just assumed we could get listed in more than one county but I just talked to someone when I was checking on our license and he said he doesn't think we can. He said he thinks we have to be licensed by the county we work with but we have had other workers and instructors tell us you can and should be listed with marion county as well as the county you live in as they are the ones who have a greatest need.

I have a call in with the other county to ask but who knows if or when they will call me back to answer me.

It is a great thing I called and checked on our paperwork as they had us filed away in the wrong county files just sitting there doing nothing they also don't have our fingerprinting results which I get emailed to me weeks ago. I forwarded him our copies and he said we should be done next week. Now I'm just wondering if this is going to be worth it if we can't be allowed to work with a county that needs help.
I posted this on the other site as well since this one seems to move much slower. If anyone has an answer I would be greatful to your input. I'm now slightly freaking out thinking we will be one of those unfortunate people that will wait months or even years to get a call for a placement.
