Question has anyone in Indiana been getting calls for placements latley?

I know summer is right around the corner. This usually means more foster children will be placed due to parents not having childcare, neighbors noticing more, etc...but has anyone been receiving calls latley? I mean as in the past two months or so? We live in the North Western parts of Indiana. We received a call for a 2 month old in March, but she went home after 5 hours of care. The call we recieved before her was on 4 teenagers, and DH and I has to say sorry on that case. I'm wondering if we should be calling our DCS office and surrounding offices nearby to let them know taht we are still alive and are wanting to help even if it's just respite.

I'm south Indy and it seems to be a dry spell in some of the smaller counties outside Indianapolis..Marion Cty is busy as usual from what I've heard from FP there, they are having a hard time finding enough homes...DH and I have called a couple of the surrounding counties and am waiting on call backs. Good Luck!!

We haven't received any calls, but we're already full. My cw assures me that when my current fc are reunified she has more for me though!

We had a call for one more little boy. I think he was 8 years old. We said no though because our 11 year old FS is such a handful.

I know that in our area there are a lot of children being placed right now, according to our case manager. They're having to place some of them in surrounding counties. We're already full, so we won't be getting any placements until our current fc are reunified.
