I was just wondering if any of you have adopted and the county/state paid for it. I have read a lot about it, and it seems like they do that. THe first thing our lawyer said to us, is to ask us if they were paying or if we were paying. He said to ask them to see if we qualified? ANyone know what the qualifications are? Or know where I might find them. THanks

I don't know that I ever had the particulars as mine case ended up going to a relative placement, but I believe all foster adopt qualify for $1500. . .the cw at the time told me that while they could not "recommend" a lawyer they would give me a list of some that accepted that $1500 as payment in full.

I am thinking all Foster/Adopt qualify.

I was also told that depending on whether the parents had been workin(and how much they may have made) at the time removal, the kids would qualify for adoption subsidy of up to 75% of the current per diem. This would go to age 18. That was a huge surprise, I had no idea anything like that existed.
