I am looking for anyone who foster parents or has adopted through the state of Indiana. We are starting our journey soon, and I would like to know what to expect with the classes, homestudy, and then with the adoption process. If you can help me out, please leave me a message. Thanks!

We adopted a 7 year old girl, through the State of Indiana. We took the SNAP program, then when we were matched with a child that was not legally free we became Foster Parents to have her placed with us until the adoption was final.

The strongest statement I can make is to advocate for yourself. Don't assume everything will go as planned. Stay informed, and have lots of patience. Both will serve you well when you have your son or daughter.

For specific questions find those that have the answers, and don't give up.

Where in Indiana are you from? i have a friend who adopted a 13 year old through foster adopt in Indiana. I met her at the Children beauro in indy in the snaps classes. she ended up doing foster adopt through the villages.
