Looking for M born 1951-1953? named "Gem"?
My mom was married years ago to a guy named William "Bill" Pickett from around the Westfield Indiana area. He was stationed overseas in the Army. While he was there my mom had an affair with one of his cousins? and became pregnant. He returned and forced her to the the baby up for adoption. We don't know much as she won't admit she had the baby. From what we do know from others is that she did not want to give "him" up. We do not know a birth date but it should have been sometime in the 1951-1953 time frame. We were told the baby was born somewhere in Central Indiana at possibly a catholic hospital as there were "nuns there". She and Bill had a daughter later on in 1954. They divorced and the family forced her to give that child to them. We were told that the baby boy was named "Gem" or something to that effect. My moms name was Elizabeth Ann Pickett at that time. Her birthdate is 03/10/1932 and her parents were Carrey Hiram Gregory and Ruth Annette Gregory. She remarried again and had 3 more children of whom I am the oldest. We would like to find the lost brother. Mom is now very sick and only has a few mts to live. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
