Question Boy DOB 4/6/65, Greenfield, IN ISO birthmom

Judge opened late husband's adoption file, and thru an ironic twist of fate, I immediately located an elderly aunt and uncle of my husband's birthmother nearly a year ago. I called them and explained that we were trying to locate his birthmom, but the uncle said he didn't think she'd want any contact, but before hanging up, he did say that should be her decision. I gave him my phone no., but she never called. A few weeks later, I sent a Dear Birthmother letter to the uncle, with a cover letter asking him to please forward that letter on to the birthmom.

I did not tell the uncle that my husband was deceased, but I did state that in the birthmom letter, in a really gentle, hopefully comforting manner.

Anything else to do now except wait...and wait...and pray?? If she would just indicate something (even a no, thanks), I'd at least know for sure she did receive that letter.

Patti
Thanks !!

Bringing this back to the top - Leslie (Lesley?) Weaver is the birthmom I'm looking for - she graduated from Lawrence Central HS in Indianapolis, attended Purdue University for a year, then went to Calif. for awhile. Birthfather is from another country.

Leslie - if you happen to be reading this: please contact me - would very much like to meet you, and get medical info. for our 2 sons. Thanks!!
