Indiana ------ searching ?
Hello all ------ The Marion Indiana newspaper recently published an article regarding adoption searches and a resident there who helps people find birth parents. She is a confidential intermediary for the state of Indiana. I did scan the article , and would be happy to send you a copy. If you would like me to do so, you may send a note to my home email, which is listed under my profile. Best regards. Ellen

Hi! Are you sent by God or what? I was born 7-23-73 in Gary, IN I think. I was told my mother is white, father is black. I have no info at all. I was adopted through the Indy Children's Bureau. My case is sealed and I don't know what to do. I was told it would be 375 to find her. I can't afford that yet. Can you help with opening sealed cases? Godbless you whether you can or not! Thanks! Mamacita3

I am assuming it's pretty much the same story that ran a couple of weeks ago in the Indianapolis Sunday paper.....about Lori Baxter?
She was my CI...... If anyone wants to chat about the CI program in Indiana, or about Lori, I would be happy to PM with you. I've been up, down and all around the Indiana process! Hugs, Sally

I too would like a copy of that article. amyburt40@yahoo.com I am also an Indy adoptee from coleman. I used Catrina with Coleman and she is very good. MY birthmother refused contact. She won't even open the files for me to find my birthfather who wanted to adopt me.

I, too, used Lori Baxter to locate my birthmother last year. I do have a copy of an article about her. I would also be happy to PM with my experiences.

I am curious to know how this CI process works as I am an Terre Haute, IN adoptee (06/15/1969) through the Catholic Charities organization and am having a hard time getting any real direction.
